Salary: USD 166,000 - 195,000 / annual
Robinhood is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own the Capital Markets product lines, which democratize access to private markets for retail investors. The role encompasses three core product areas: IPO Access (pre-IPO share allocations), Robinhood Ventures (publicly traded funds with direct positions in private companies), and new products enabling direct access to individual private companies and alternative investments.
You will own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for one of these product lines while contributing to the overall Capital Markets strategy. Key responsibilities include leading 0-1 product launches (in-app experiences for private asset investing and discovery surfaces for first-time investors), translating complex regulatory and operational requirements into clear customer experiences, and building relationships with external partners including issuers, underwriters, fund administrators, and infrastructure vendors.
You will set quality standards for products where user confusion directly impacts customer trust and financial outcomes. You'll use research, experimentation, and product analytics to inform decisions and validate results. The role requires communicating strategy and tradeoffs to senior leadership and operating effectively in ambiguous, high-pressure situations while maintaining a high quality bar.
The position is based in Menlo Park, CA or New York, NY, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week. Robinhood emphasizes in-person collaboration to accelerate progress and strengthen team dynamics.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of product management experience building and shipping high-quality consumer or consumer fintech products
- Track record of shipping 0-1 products at scale, beyond prototypes and pilots
- Comfort with complex financial products; ability to quickly become expert in new instruments, offering structures, or regulatory regimes
- Experience working with legal, compliance, operations, and other regulated-product stakeholders, with judgment about when to push and when to redesign
- Experience working with third-party partners on large-scale projects delivering shared products
- Strong product judgment and ability to turn ambiguous opportunities into clear strategy, roadmap, and execution plans
- Ability to operate in unclear, 0-1 situations while sustaining high quality standards under real-time pressure
- Demonstrated history of using research, experimentation, and analytics to guide decision-making
- Clear communication and relationship management skills; experience influencing across highly cross-functional teams and external partners
- Passion for democratizing finance and excitement about opening private markets to retail investors
- Experience and proficiency with AI tools (Claude Code, Gemini, Cursor, ChatGPT)
- Nice to have: familiarity with private markets or alternatives (closed-end funds, BDCs, interval funds, SPVs, Reg D offerings, IPO/ECM processes)
