Novo is a venture-backed fintech serving over 250,000 small businesses with a comprehensive banking platform. Founded in 2018, the company has raised $170M from top-tier investors including Stripes and Valar Ventures, and offers checking accounts, debit cards, lending products, invoicing, bookkeeping, and integrations—processing billions in transactions annually. You will own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for Novo's core banking products: deposit accounts, money movement, cards, and underlying program infrastructure. This is a critical role ensuring reliability, usability, and depth of products serving a rapidly expanding customer base in a regulated environment. Key responsibilities include: **Product Strategy & Leadership**: Define product direction for complex financial products, set clear positioning for each offering, and translate company objectives and customer insights into a prioritized roadmap. Balance near-term delivery with long-term platform investments. **Banking Products & Money Movement**: Own end-to-end experiences for account opening, funding, deposits, and money-movement flows (ACH, wires, transfers, bill pay, card transactions). Partner with Engineering on ledger and payments systems. Improve products that drive deposits and multi-product adoption. Evaluate partner-bank economics and translate regulatory requirements into intuitive experiences. **Discovery, Execution & Quality**: Run rigorous discovery grounded in customer research and cohort analysis. Write clear specs, define success metrics, and ship reliable features on predictable cadence. Monitor performance, distinguish signal from noise, and drive iteration. **Reliability, Risk & Compliance**: Partner with Engineering, InfoSec, and Operations to meet regulated financial environment standards. Embed risk, fraud, security, and regulatory requirements from the start. Support reporting and controls for banking partners and regulators. Treat trust as a first-class product requirement. **Cross-Functional Partnership**: Collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, Growth, Marketing, Operations, and Finance. Manage relationships with banking partners and third-party vendors. Communicate effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders. **Strategic Planning**: Contribute to broader company roadmap. Define and track product metrics including activation, engagement, retention, multi-product adoption, and reliability. Minimum qualifications: 7+ years progressive product management experience, with background owning complex, technical, or platform products.
