Salary: USD 160,000 - 190,000 / annual
Flock Safety is scaling an autonomous drone platform for public safety, and this role owns the aviation product roadmap as the company navigates regulatory complexity and technical execution across hardware, firmware, and cloud systems.
You will define and execute the product strategy for Flock's aviation portfolio, balancing near-term customer needs, regulatory dynamics, and long-term vision. You'll partner directly with Engineering to guide technical projects across hardware, embedded software, connectivity, and cloud infrastructure. A core responsibility is translating regulatory shifts from aviation oversight bodies into actionable product requirements and technical strategy.
You'll deepen understanding of operator personas—pilots, dispatchers, and patrol teams—within the Drone as First Responder ecosystem to refine product workflows. Cross-functional collaboration with Design, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and GTM teams ensures seamless product rollouts and customer enablement.
This is not a software-only role; you manage an integrated portfolio spanning hardware, embedded systems, wireless connectivity, and physical operations. It's also not a compliance or legal function—you interpret regulatory constraints to shape product direction alongside legal and compliance partners. This is hands-on: you'll dive into technical architecture tradeoffs, manage engineering backlogs, and run sprint planning cadences directly with teams.
You bring proven technical product management experience leading complex products where hardware, software, and operational workflows intersect. You have demonstrated ability to partner closely with engineering teams to evaluate tradeoffs, manage scoping, and sequence execution. You can navigate domain-specific regulatory constraints and integrate them into roadmap decisions. Strong customer intuition and market judgment are essential. Familiarity with autonomous systems, robotics, drones, or similarly regulated environments is a plus.
