Okta is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the Auth0 Platform Infrastructure team, owning the vision and strategy for core infrastructure components that power Auth0's global scale. This is a highly visible role focused on solving multi-dimensional scaling challenges, including those driven by rapid AI agent adoption. Key responsibilities include: - Define and own the roadmap for critical infrastructure components including intelligent rate limiting, high-volume streaming data architectures, and cloud resilience, ensuring alignment with Auth0's broader platform strategy. - Champion cloud infrastructure and resilience initiatives, including Geo HA failover mechanisms, AWS PrivateLink implementations, and service-only failovers to achieve "four nines" reliability for thousands of enterprise customers. - Lead infrastructure strategy for Model Context Protocol (MCP) enablement, defining how autonomous LLMs and AI agents securely authenticate, request context, and invoke APIs using Auth0's "Auth for MCP" framework. - Partner closely with Engineering, Architecture, Security, and Go-To-Market teams to deliver robust infrastructure features, serving as the bridge between deeply technical engineering challenges and customer-facing value. - Design and implement intelligent, multi-dimensional rate-limiting strategies that protect platform stability while supporting massive customer bursting capabilities and new AI agent identity paradigms. - Ensure infrastructure features align with stringent security frameworks and compliance standards, building security by design. Required qualifications: - 5+ years of product management experience, with significant time managing highly technical, backend, or infrastructure/platform products at enterprise SaaS companies. - Deep understanding of distributed systems, cloud-native architectures (AWS, GCP, Azure), and modern infrastructure concepts. - Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP), agentic workflows, and securing machine-to-machine or agent-to-tool communications (token exchange, delegated authorization, OAuth 2.1). - Proven ability to engage with engineering teams on complex topics: data streaming (Kafka, Kinesis), API gateways, intelligent rate-limiting algorithms, and high-availability database failovers. - Strong data-driven approach to product management with experience defining, tracking, and optimizing operational metrics and SLAs. - Ability to translate complex infrastructure capabilities into compelling customer value propositions for both technical and non-technical audiences. - Demonstrated ability to influence without authority, lead cross-functional initiatives, and navigate complex organizational dependencies. Bonus: Prior experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM), cybersecurity, or managing platform infrastructure for AI agents or machine-to-machine communication.
