You will own the integrations surface end-to-end as a senior individual contributor PM. This role concentrates on where delivery risk is highest—third-party integrations—and requires someone who can write specifications precise enough to prevent rework and has the credibility to negotiate technical approach with partner product and engineering teams.
Key responsibilities include: owning the integrations roadmap and sequencing (which systems to connect, in what order, at what depth); writing requirements and specifications for every integration shipped; managing technical relationships with partner teams; defining internal "done" criteria focused on customer workflows, not just connection functionality; and building reusable integration patterns so later integrations are meaningfully cheaper than early ones.
You will translate business context and customer workflows into engineering specifications covering data models, sync behavior, auth, rate limits, and failure handling. You'll hunt down edge cases early—conflicting writes, permission changes, schema drift, failed syncs—before they surface in build. You'll validate assumptions against real customer environments through discovery and sandbox testing before committing engineering time. You'll run structured spec reviews with engineering and stay engaged through build to resolve ambiguity in days, not at demo.
You'll serve as the product counterpart to partner teams, scoping joint work and negotiating when needs and constraints don't align. You'll come to conversations with specific, credible alternatives backed by technical detail. You'll push partners to adapt where the better solution sits on their side, and know when to concede and design around constraints instead. You'll maintain visibility into each partner's roadmap, deprecation timelines, and reliability posture.
As a senior PM, you'll set direction rather than take it, bring a point of view on where integrations should go, and defend it with evidence. You'll prioritize across competing demands and say no with reason. You'll communicate crisply to executives, engineering, GTM, support, and external partners. You'll define success metrics for integrations—activation, sync reliability, time-to-connect, support load, rework rate—and manage against them.
