Shift5 is building an observability platform for onboard operational technology (OT) that delivers cybersecurity, predictive maintenance, and compliance capabilities to defense and commercial fleets. As Senior Product Manager, you will define the product strategy and roadmap for Shift5's data pipeline, integration, and SDK products—critical infrastructure that enables safer, more resilient fleet operations. Your responsibilities include: • Develop product strategies and delivery timelines for on-vehicle and off-vehicle data pipelines, APIs, and SDKs that steer engineering investments • Own on-time, on-budget shipping of product value; draft clear problem statements and collaborate closely with engineers on solution design • Synthesize insights from field teams and third-party developers to drive product direction and continuous improvement • Interface directly with Field Engineers and external developers to iterate on data pipeline, API, and SDK designs; travel to customer sites 3–4 times per year for integration support • Build and present product demos to internal and external stakeholders, showcasing how features drive operational outcomes • Write and maintain comprehensive product documentation informed by hands-on use of your product portfolio Success means reliably shipping high-impact, value-driven products that empower customers to run smarter, safer fleets; confidently steering product lifecycles from conception through evaluation; partnering effectively across engineering, program management, and field teams; and adapting efficiently to changing priorities in a fast-paced, scaling environment. Required qualifications: 3+ years of product management experience building technical products for engineer users; 3+ years of data integration engineering experience with a major programming language (Python, Go, Rust, Java); proven experience building data integration products from 0-to-1; strong technical foundation and ability to engage deeply with engineers on architecture and design.
