Zelis is modernizing the healthcare financial experience for payers, providers, and consumers. This Senior Product Manager role focuses on member medical cost and transparency products, serving a platform that reaches 750+ payers (including top five national health plans) and millions of healthcare providers and consumers.
You will own the product strategy, roadmap, and backlog for member cost and transparency initiatives, translating strategy into actionable execution plans. Key responsibilities include:
**Product Roadmap & Delivery:** Define and own the product strategy and roadmap for member medical cost and transparency products. Combine member research, usage data, and domain knowledge to identify high-impact problems and create a prioritized roadmap. Partner with engineering, data science, data engineering, and product teams to define scope, sequence work, manage dependencies, and remove blockers. Lead sprint ceremonies and maintain close alignment with engineering. Balance competing priorities—client commitments, regulatory requirements, platform modernization, and long-term scalability. Communicate roadmap progress, risks, and tradeoffs to leadership and stakeholders. Validate delivered features against requirements and success criteria.
**Domain Expertise:** Develop deep subject matter expertise in member cost experience—claims, rates, benefits, eligibility, deductibles, copays, accumulators, and billing codes. Understand how cost and provider data is sourced and surfaced across the product suite. Identify gaps in coverage, accuracy, or usability affecting the member experience. Serve as the go-to expert for cost and transparency questions across teams. Write clear business requirements, technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Resolve data-domain questions and maintain product documentation. Stay current on healthcare price transparency regulations (No Surprises Act, price transparency rules) and translate regulatory requirements into product requirements.
**Cross-Functional Leadership:** Own your product area's roadmap while balancing member needs, business priorities, regulatory requirements, and engineering capacity. Provide input into broader roadmap discussions. Collaborate with product, engineering, design, data partnerships, and customer success teams. Manage feature request intake and prioritization.
**Measurement & Improvement:** Define and track product KPIs—adoption, accuracy, member satisfaction, cost-estimate reliability. Identify and escalate data quality or usability issues. Drive continuous improvement in product practices and delivery workflows.
You bring 7+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years owning a product area end-to-end in a senior PM or equivalent role. You have demonstrated expertise in healthcare, fintech, or complex B2B SaaS environments, with strong analytical and communication skills.
