Prophecy is building an AI-native data platform that simplifies how organizations prepare, analyze, and operationalize data. The company works with leading enterprises to transform raw data into reliable, production-ready datasets and insights using modern data infrastructure and AI-driven capabilities. As Senior Product Manager, you will own a product area end-to-end, operating as a builder and owner responsible for strategy, execution, and operational health. You'll think across the full data-to-insights-to-decisions lifecycle and balance deep customer understanding with strong technical intuition. Key responsibilities include: **Product Strategy & Ownership**: Own and evolve the roadmap for your product area over a 1–3 quarter horizon, balancing customer needs, technical investments, and business goals. Translate product vision into clear initiatives and priorities aligned with company strategy. Evaluate opportunities based on impact, effort, and strategic fit, thinking beyond features to how capabilities fit into the broader data and analytics ecosystem. **Customer Insight & Discovery**: Develop deep understanding of analyst workflows across data preparation, transformation, and analysis. Run continuous discovery through customer interviews, product usage data, sales and support signals, and win/loss analysis. Frame problems clearly before jumping to solutions and understand enterprise constraints including governance, compliance, and operational complexity. **AI-Native Product Development**: Use AI tools (LLMs, copilots, workflows) as a core part of product development. Build lightweight prototypes to validate ideas before writing full specifications. Identify where AI-driven capabilities can meaningfully improve user workflows while ensuring reliability, explainability, and alignment with enterprise requirements. **Product Development & Execution**: Work closely with engineering and design to deliver high-quality capabilities. Write clear, structured product specifications grounded in data and user insight. Define success metrics and track adoption, impact, and effectiveness. Monitor execution progress, identify risks early, and drive cross-team alignment while maintaining a high bar for usability and reliability. **Cross-Functional Leadership**: Align engineering, design, sales, and customer success around shared outcomes. Communicate product direction through clear documentation and structured decision-making. Resolve ambiguity quickly to maintain execution momentum and contribute to product positioning through artifacts such as one-pagers, demos, and customer-facing materials. **Operational Ownership**: Own the operational health of your product area, including performance monitoring, feature adoption, issue triage, and iteration cycles. Establish and improve repeatable processes that increase execution speed and predictability. Required qualifications: 5+ years of product management experience in data platforms, analytics products, developer tools, or enterprise software. Strong understanding of data preparation, analytics workflows, and modern data infrastructure. Experience working closely with engineering teams on technical products. Hands-on familiarity with AI-powered products or intelligent systems. Ability to translate complex problems into clear, actionable product specifications. Experience with APIs, SDKs, CLIs, or other developer-facing systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
