Nirvana is modernizing commercial insurance with an AI-driven platform serving thousands of fleets. The company has raised $270M+ (Series D in Dec 2025) and is backed by top-tier VCs including Lightspeed, General Catalyst, and Valor. Leadership includes veterans from Samsara, Rubrik, Flexport, and major insurers.
As Senior Product Manager, you will own the core platforms and data foundation powering the business—spanning pricing, risk modeling, and AI systems across the full insurance policy lifecycle. You'll make these systems sharper, faster, and more defensible than market alternatives while building a compounding data advantage.
Key responsibilities include: owning both roadmap and execution (what gets built, in what order, shipping accountability); talking to customers, brokers, and underwriters to understand needs and prioritize problems; setting direction for Engineering, Data Science, Actuaries, and GTM teams to ensure alignment from data ingestion through underwriter pricing; and shaping longer-term vision starting with pricing and extending across the product suite.
You'll need 4–7 years in Product Management or equivalent, ideally having shipped 0–1 products. Strong quantitative skills are essential—you live in data, notice anomalies, and dig into root causes. Excellent written and verbal communication allows you to present to customers and internal stakeholders (underwriting, actuaries) and explain complex decisions simply. You earn credibility with technical partners by understanding data science and engineering work, making sound technical decisions, and driving cross-functional teams to ship on aggressive timelines. An owner mentality, bias-to-action, and comfort in high-growth startup environments are critical.
Preferred qualifications: undergraduate degree in a technical discipline (CS, engineering); experience building products where pricing or risk models directly drive revenue (insurance, lending, marketplaces); B2B or fintech background; MS, PhD, or MBA.
Compensation: $155,000–$220,000 base salary plus equity (significant impact on total comp). Benefits include 100% employer-paid medical/dental/vision, 401k with 4% match, unlimited PTO, parental leave, wellness reimbursement, and work-from-home stipend.
