Salary: USD 227,000 - 267,000 / annual
Muon Space, a space systems provider founded in 2021, is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of their internal Information Systems. This role bridges technical software teams and business operations, managing the systems that enable supply chain, manufacturing, financial operations, and mission execution across a rapidly expanding launch manifest.
Key responsibilities include owning the end-to-end product strategy and 12-18 month roadmap for Information Systems and internal tools; driving critical "build vs. buy" decisions by balancing custom-built software with industry-leading commercial solutions (ERP, PLM, MES); collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Mission Operations to identify pain points and prioritize needs; translating complex operational requirements into clear product specifications and user stories; partnering with Information Systems engineers and IT teams to design, develop, and deploy solutions; establishing KPIs to measure impact, user adoption, and operational efficiency; and coordinating system integrations to ensure smooth data flows and regulatory compliance.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field (or equivalent experience); 7+ years of Product Management experience shipping internal tools, enterprise software, or business systems in high-growth or technically complex environments; previous experience in aerospace, space, defense, or deep-tech hardware manufacturing; demonstrated success leading build vs. buy evaluations and implementing commercial SaaS platforms integrated with custom software; strong technical fluency to engage with software engineers and database architects as a peer; proven ability to manage conflicting priorities without direct authority and prioritize roadmaps; experience mapping complex operational workflows into streamlined software experiences; and excellent communication and presentation skills.
Nice-to-have skills include technical background with hands-on software development, SQL, data modeling, or enterprise system architecture experience, and proven success in high-growth startup environments. The position is hybrid, requiring three days per week on-site in San Jose, CA.
