January is transforming consumer debt collections from a crisis-driven emergency room model into proactive primary care. The company has serviced over $20 billion in debt across 20+ million consumers and achieves 50% higher customer satisfaction than traditional banks while generating 30% better net recovery for creditors.
As a Senior Product Manager, you'll own one of the company's highest-leverage surfaces: how they reach consumers, communicate with them, and build trust that converts missed payments into fresh starts. You'll report directly to the Founder and CEO and choose between two critical product tracks:
1. LLM Infrastructure Team: Own the conversational AI backbone powering chatbots, voice, email, and SMS interactions. Push toward borrower experiences that adapt in real-time, further than the industry currently achieves.
2. Communications & Experimentation Team: Own systems sending millions of communications hourly across email, SMS, and letters, plus the experimentation engine optimizing them. Build toward self-tuning outbound that learns what to say and when without human intervention.
Both roles require setting new standards through opinionated strategy, rigorous experimentation, and systems that empower the team to make good decisions independently. You'll thrive in high-stakes environments where legal, ethical, and financial constraints sharpen rather than limit creativity.
The company operates with strong principles: decentralization over control, speed over perfection, candor over comfort. AI is deeply embedded across engineering and product workflows. The team builds in-person at least three days weekly in their Nolita office, believing random interactions and face time are essential for trust and innovation.
You should have 5+ years as a Product Manager with end-to-end product strategy ownership that moved real metrics. You decompose problems to root causes, decide with incomplete information, hold high bars for quality, and reason from data and experimentation. You're already pushing LLM tooling into your work and want to go further than most companies allow.
