Homebound is transforming residential construction by making it possible for anyone to build a home using technology. The company has raised $150M from top-tier VCs including Google and Khosla, and is scaling rapidly across Texas, Colorado, and Florida. You will own critical end-to-end product areas that power the core of Homebound's platform: systems for pricing homes, scheduling builds, managing cost and margin, coordinating trade partners, and providing operational intelligence. Your focus will evolve with business priorities, and you'll own new squads as needs shift. The role emphasizes speed and operational impact. You'll be measured on real outcomes—cycle time, cost accuracy, margin, throughput, adoption—not feature shipping. Much of the work involves genuinely complex data: cost structures, budgets vs. actuals, change orders, draw schedules, vendor pricing, and multi-month probabilistic schedules. You'll need to go into the data personally, notice reconciliation issues, and ensure accuracy because operators and financials depend on it. AI is deeply integrated into the platform and expected to be part of every new feature design. The default question is not "what screen does the user need?" but "how much can the system decide, predict, draft, or eliminate?" You'll reach for LLMs, agents, and applied ML as first-class design primitives, with clear-eyed judgment about where they genuinely outperform deterministic logic. Key responsibilities: own portfolio strategy and roadmap end-to-end; ramp quickly on new domains without handoff documents; build products on complex financial and operational data with appropriate rigor; treat AI as a default design consideration; write clear, actionable requirements with edge-case thinking; define success metrics, instrument them, and run experiments; operate independently across Construction Operations, Finance, Sales, Design, and Engineering. You bring 5+ years of product management with ownership of complex, technical products. You have exceptional analytical rigor and comfort with messy, high-stakes data—you write queries, build models, and reconcile numbers yourself. You have experience with financial or operational data products (cost, pricing, margin, budgeting, forecasting, supply chain, scheduling) where accuracy is non-negotiable. You're detail-oriented, metrics-driven, and technically fluent enough to operate as a peer with engineers and ML teams. You have an AI-first instinct in product design and a track record of 0-to-1 product building. You're a self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and drives outcomes cross-functionally. Interest in construction is a plus but not required.
