Customer.io is seeking a Senior Product Manager to drive product strategy and execution for their customer communication platform, which powers billions of emails, push notifications, in-app messages, and SMS daily for over 9,000 companies. You will work within a six-person product team reporting to the Senior Director of Product, partnering closely with Design and Engineering to launch first-class products. Key responsibilities include identifying and validating customer problems through user research, usage analytics, and AI-powered discovery tools; rapidly prototyping and running focused experiments to de-risk new ideas; leading cross-functional planning to align Engineering, Design, and business stakeholders; driving feature strategy and influencing roadmaps based on customer impact and market opportunity; breaking down complex projects into incremental, testable releases; defining product success metrics and tracking adoption, engagement, and retention; taking on Technology Lead responsibilities for specific initiatives including data analysis and prototyping; and ensuring post-launch success by monitoring product metrics and collaborating with GTM stakeholders. Required qualifications include 7+ years of product management experience, ideally in B2B SaaS or platforms leveraging behavioral data for automation or messaging; strong analytical skills and comfort with metrics dashboards; proven ability to lead feature development independently and deliver outcomes with tight teams; high product intuition balanced with humility and experimentation; exceptional written communication and decision-framing abilities for remote/async environments; experience using or developing AI-powered tooling; technical background with ability to build basic web applications, write scripts, and work with engineering teams on data models, APIs, and performance; and track record as a DRI for engineering initiatives. Experience with SMS/RCS or other messaging channels is a plus.
