Planet designs, builds, and operates the largest constellation of imaging satellites in history, delivering empirical geospatial data via a cloud-based platform to commercial, environmental, and humanitarian sectors. As Senior Product Manager for Analysis Ready Data (ARD) Products, you will own the product strategy and go-to-market execution for Mosaics, Analysis Ready Planetscope (ARPS), and Fusion—products that transform raw satellite imagery into actionable intelligence for enterprise customers. You will work at the intersection of technically complex satellite imagery products and demanding enterprise customers, collaborating closely with engineering, design, sales, and customer success teams. Your responsibilities include documenting product requirements, synthesizing customer feedback, and supporting sprint planning and delivery tracking. You'll build and maintain product metric dashboards tracking time-to-activation and retention, manage early-access programs to validate product-market fit, and partner with pre-sales teams as a product expert ensuring optimal product-customer alignment. Key impact areas include prototyping customer-facing solutions using AI tools to demonstrate industry-specific ARD value, joining customer meetings as a product evangelist, and translating customer and sales input into clear use cases and requirements. You'll partner with internal solution builders to help Planet transition to a solutions-oriented company and contribute foundational data products for AI-native solutions. This is a full-time hybrid role requiring 3 days per week in either the San Francisco or Arlington office. Product Management at Planet is not a direct supervisory role; success depends on collaboration, influence, and alignment with agile principles and cultural values. You bring 6+ years of product management or technical program management experience, comfort with software development concepts and workflows, and strong cross-functional collaboration skills. Ideal candidates have experience with monitoring-focused Earth Observation products, remote sensing science, image processing, or geospatial data analysis, and have built or scaled core data/imagery products serving multiple market segments.
