Brex is an intelligent finance platform serving tens of thousands of companies globally with corporate cards, banking, spend management, bill pay, and travel software. The company recently became part of Capital One, with significant investment backing AI initiatives.
You will own end-to-end product strategy and execution for AI agents targeting finance administrators (controllers, accounting managers, finance ops leads). The role focuses on solving two critical pain points: ensuring compliant spend documentation and providing real-time visibility into company money flow.
Specifically, you'll lead product development for one of two AI agent initiatives:
1. **Compliance Auditor Agent**: Automates expense policy review across every transaction (not sampling), investigates anomalies, gathers missing context from employees, groups exceptions for human review, recommends actions, and surfaces patterns (which policies break most, repeat offenders, exposure areas). This transforms expense compliance from post-mortem to real-time first-line defense.
2. **Business Analyst Agent**: Answers finance questions in plain language against live spend data, learns which metrics matter most, generates reports for company-wide use, and proactively alerts when key numbers shift. Evolves from junior analyst running queries on-demand to autonomous analyst for the entire business.
Both products are early-stage, in customer hands with known gaps. You'll shape which agent you lead and how much cross-ownership you take based on your strengths and team needs. You'll align cross-functional teams (Engineering, Legal, Compliance, Design) on strategy and drive products from conception through launch. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of fintech, AI automation, and enterprise workflow transformation.
