Brex is an intelligent finance platform serving tens of thousands of companies globally with corporate cards, banking, spend management, bill pay, and travel software. The company recently became part of Capital One, which is backing AI as a major investment area.
The Product team at Brex identifies and scopes high-impact opportunities, aligns cross-functional teams (Engineering, Legal, Compliance, Design), and drives products from inception to launch. You'll join the Finance Admin AI team, which is building AI agents to solve two critical pain points for finance administrators: expense compliance and spend analytics.
Today, finance admins manually review transactions and compile reports—a process that doesn't scale. Roughly 4% of travel and entertainment spend violates policy; for a $10M annual spend company, that's $400K in undetected violations, duplicates, and missing receipts. Most companies never catch it because it requires human review of individual transactions.
The AI team is building two agents:
1. The Auditor Agent: Reads a company's expense policy and audit rules, reviews every transaction against them (not just samples), investigates anomalies, gathers missing context from employees, groups exceptions for human review, recommends actions, and surfaces patterns (which policies are broken most, repeat offenders, real exposure areas). This shifts expense compliance from post-mortem to real-time first-line defense.
2. The Business Analyst Agent: Answers questions finance admins would normally escalate to analysts, learns which metrics matter most, generates reports for the company, and eventually proactively alerts when key numbers drift. It evolves from a junior analyst running queries on demand to a full-time analyst for the business.
As a Senior PM on Finance Admin AI, you'll own end-to-end one of these agents (with flexibility on which and how much of the other you take on based on your strengths and team needs). Both are early, in customer hands, and solving real problems—but the playbook for AI agent trustworthiness and judgment is still being written. This is a high-impact role shaping a new product category at a major fintech platform.
