Doctronic is an AI-native healthtech platform providing free, private AI health guidance and affordable physician visits. The company has processed millions of consultations with 99%+ accuracy validated by board-certified clinicians and operates across all 50 US states with HIPAA compliance.
As a Senior Product Engineer, you will own full-stack features spanning patient experiences, clinician workflows, and healthcare integrations. This is not a frontend/backend split role—you will work across Next.js/React/TypeScript frontends, native iOS/Android apps, Python/FastAPI backends, and production infrastructure to ship complete features end-to-end.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building patient workflows for onboarding, AI consultations, health records, prescriptions, physician visits, and follow-up care
- Connecting AI consultations with clinical workflows to enable seamless patient-to-treatment pathways
- Translating new clinical and AI capabilities into safe, user-friendly product features
- Creating tools and integrations for clinicians and healthcare partners
- Optimizing performance, accessibility, privacy, and reliability across web and mobile
- Using AI coding agents as a core part of daily delivery—for exploration, planning, implementation, testing, debugging, and automation
- Reviewing post-launch usage and feedback to iterate on features
You will work in a small, senior engineering team with high autonomy. Engineers own projects from definition through launch and production support, operating in short planning cycles with frequent releases and high standards for patient safety and code quality.
The production stack includes Next.js, React, TypeScript, Swift, Kotlin, Python, FastAPI, MariaDB, SQLAlchemy, Redis, Celery, Docker, AWS ECS, and integrations with AI providers, telehealth systems, and FHIR-based healthcare APIs. You do not need experience with every tool, but should be able to learn unfamiliar systems and ship across product and backend code.
Ideal candidates have 5+ years of professional experience shipping user-facing products across frontend and backend, strong skills in at least one stack area with effectiveness in others, good product judgment, the ability to define solutions with incomplete initial requirements, daily experience directing coding agents, and a habit of automating repeated work. Experience in healthcare, fintech, AI products, or regulated industries is valuable but not required.
