Salary: GBP 95,000 - 125,000 / annual

The engineering team tackles complex technical challenges in real-time infrastructure, AI-native architecture, and frontend development.
As a Senior Product Engineer (Backend), you will lead end-to-end projects to solve real customer problems and architect scalable systems that power new features. You'll design REST API contracts for internal and external consumers, ensuring they meet high standards of performance, reliability, security, and scale. You'll work with TypeScript, Node.js, and GCP to move the product forward, re-architecting existing systems as scaling demands grow.
You'll represent Attio's Product & Engineering values both internally and externally, communicating technical ideas to the wider team and influencing stakeholders across Engineering, Product, and Design.
Required qualifications include strong expertise in designing scalable, reliable, secure backend systems; excellent knowledge of modern Cloud Native systems architecture; expertise with Node.js and TypeScript; a track record of ownership and product delivery; and a proactive, self-motivated problem-solving attitude with passion for distributed systems.
Nice-to-have skills include open source contributions, mentoring experience, work with data-rich backend applications or real-time data processing, and a love for experimenting with new tools and techniques.
