Zip is an AI-powered enterprise procurement platform trusted by major companies including T-Mobile, OpenAI, AMD, Mars, and Dollar Tree. The platform orchestrates procurement across teams, tools, and suppliers using AI agents, helping enterprises save billions in spend and process hundreds of billions in transactions.
You will join the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) team as a Senior Product Designer, owning product design for a core area of the platform. P2P encompasses the machinery that converts approved purchases into paid vendor transactions: purchase orders, invoices, payments, and the workflows that maintain enterprise spend accuracy and compliance. You'll work alongside a dedicated PM, strong engineering group, and have direct access to customers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own end-to-end experiences for creation and approval workflows, change management, alerts, and enterprise spend dashboards
- Partner with PM and engineers to brainstorm, define, and implement features and AI agent offerings
- Design full transaction lifecycles, including edge cases (declines, disputes, failed payments) where user trust is critical
- Shape first-generation agent experiences grounded in structured procurement data—automation users can verify and trust
- Conduct your own customer research through SE, CS, and Sales partners; test work with AP teams and requesters
- Participate in design reviews with the broader design team
You'll design purchase orders that maintain themselves and transactions that code and reconcile themselves, representing Zip's first AI agents in the P2P space.
The role is hybrid, requiring 3 days per week in the San Francisco office.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3–5 years of experience designing complex B2B or workflow products (procurement, payments, or fintech experience is a plus)
- Shipped at least one full product or significant feature end-to-end as the lead designer
- Experience running your own research: identifying the right customers, asking the right questions, and translating insights into design decisions
- Ability to iterate closely with engineers on both UX and visual design
- Strong point of view: can defend design decisions with PMs and engineers, and adjust when evidence warrants
- Curiosity about designing AI-assisted workflows (no prior agent shipping required, but genuine interest expected)
- Fluency in Figma and prototyping tools
- Understanding of technical constraints in web application development
NICE TO HAVES:
- Use of AI tools in your own workflow (Claude, Figma Make, Cursor, etc.)
- Consumer-grade mobile experience design (cardholders, receipts, approvals, card use on mobile)
