beehiiv is an all-in-one newsletter and creator platform serving tens of thousands of publishers and reaching hundreds of millions of readers monthly. The company has achieved $30M+ ARR with 100% YoY growth and recently expanded its product suite to include an ad network, website builder, and paid tiers. As Senior Product Designer (Growth), you will own design across the full user lifecycle—onboarding, activation, conversion, expansion, and retention. Your primary focus will be redesigning high-friction moments in the funnel (e.g., in-app downgrade flows, trial-to-paid conversion, first-time activation) with a clear emphasis on reducing churn and improving conversion rates. You will partner closely with Product, Growth, and Engineering teams to translate user research, support signals, and product data into testable design hypotheses. You'll design and ship experiments rapidly, iterating based on quantitative results. You'll work alongside two existing product designers who own the core platform experience, ensuring consistency with beehiiv's design language while bringing a distinctly growth-oriented, test-and-learn approach to your areas. This role offers high impact and visibility—your work shapes the first and often last impressions of every beehiiv user. You'll be autonomous, owning projects end-to-end from problem framing through shipped experiments. You'll present your thinking, rationale, and trade-offs to the product and leadership teams, incorporating feedback quickly. The role is not traditional 9-to-5; you'll need to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders, navigate rapid iteration and frequent context switching, and maintain high expectations for both speed and quality. REQUIREMENTS: - 5+ years of experience as a product designer, with meaningful time spent on growth, activation, lifecycle, or monetization surfaces (not just core product/feature design) - Track record of designing for experimentation—comfortable scoping A/B tests, phased rollouts, and iterating quickly based on quantitative results - Ability to take vague, high-stakes problems (reducing churn, clarifying downgrade flows, improving activation) and turn them into crisp, testable design points of view - Excellent communication, listening, and writing skills; ability to clearly explain design rationale and trade-offs to cross-functional stakeholders and leadership - Ability to read and analyze data and use it to form hypotheses and inform design decisions - Strong organizational skills; able to work independently with minimal direction - Genuine excitement about scaling a nascent platform and an ownership mentality - Prior experience in newsletter, media, publishing, or SaaS industry is a plus
