ServiceNow is seeking a Principal Product Designer to lead large, cross-product, strategic design initiatives that drive transformation across the organization. In this role, you will lead the design vision and strategy for critical business initiatives, working closely with engineering and product management from the outset.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading large, cross-product, strategic initiatives critical to business unit or company-wide success
- Driving product experiences that exemplify beautiful design, catalyze user and enterprise productivity, and create extensible systems and frameworks
- Providing strategic direction, vision, and leadership for collaborative efforts with multidisciplinary teams
- Acting as an industry influencer and thought leader, advancing the industry through contributions to trade events and publications
- Defining design strategy across multiple products and complex horizontal initiatives
- Serving as a strategic advocate for design and users at the cross-functional senior leadership and executive level
ServiceNow's design team uses empathy and deep user understanding to create product experiences customers love. Designers come from diverse backgrounds—design systems, visual, interaction, content, and product design—and collaborate closely with both engineering and product management. Qualifications:
- 15+ years of relevant design experience
- An inspiring portfolio demonstrating formative contributions to design language, strategy, processes, and standards at company level
- Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving
- Proven experience participating in the complete product development lifecycle of web and/or software applications
- Experience in user experience design or industry experience (corporate, software, web, or agency)
- Influence skills and drive to define design strategy across multiple products and/or complex horizontal initiatives
- Recognized as a thought leader in company and industry, delivering product experiences that exemplify beautiful design and inspire customers
- Strategic advocate for design and users at cross-functional senior leadership and executive level
