Wander is a Series B travel-tech marketplace and SaaS platform transforming the $4 trillion travel industry. Wander.com is the leading marketplace for vacation homes, while WanderOS is an operating system for property managers—combining direct booking websites, guest messaging, pricing, payments, distribution, and AI-powered agents in one product.
As an L6 Senior Product Designer, you will own the end-to-end design of core WanderOS workflows used by thousands of property managers. You report directly to Wander's Chief Product Officer and work closely with Product, Engineering, and the founder. Your work spans discovery, flows, systems, pixels, and post-launch iteration. You will design critical workflows including onboarding, calendar and reservations, pricing, guest communication, payments, and reporting—turning complex operational problems into simple, fast, obvious interfaces.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own end-to-end design of core WanderOS workflows and features
- Shape how AI agents integrate into the platform: autonomous actions, operator supervision, and trust-building
- Maintain and evolve the WanderOS design system to enable rapid, consistent shipping across web and mobile
- Mentor mid-level designers and raise the design bar across the team
- Conduct user research with property managers, synthesize insights, and inform the roadmap
- Prototype rapidly, test with real operators, and ship on a weekly cadence
- Focus on outcomes: activation, adoption, retention, and revenue impact
This is a small team with huge surface area—your designs will reach thousands of operators within weeks, not quarters. The company ships at an exceptional velocity (AI agents, payments, new distribution channels all in flight), and design must keep pace.
The role is remote across the US and Canada, with optional offices in Austin, TX and San Francisco (Presidio).
REQUIREMENTS:
- 7–8+ years of product design experience shipping software products
- Ideally background in B2B SaaS, marketplaces, fintech, or operational tools
- Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ownership, systems thinking, and pixel-level craft
- Proven ownership of at least one complex product or workflow end to end with documented outcomes
- Deep technical understanding of how designs get built; bonus if you have coded a side project, prototype, or product
- Systems thinking: ability to see how pieces fit together and how operator actions play out over weeks/months
- Ability to interpret experiments and quantitative data to inform decisions
- Strong communication and storytelling skills; can defend design rationale with reasoning and data
- Experience leading through ambiguity and delivering plans under tight deadlines
- Demonstrated mentorship of mid-level designers
- Experience working with and evolving design systems
- Mastery of Figma and modern prototyping tools; ability to adopt new tools quickly
- Enthusiasm for AI and its role in product design and operator workflows
- High bar for quality, speed, and shipping
BONUS:
- Experience designing AI-powered products or agentic workflows for business users
- Background in travel, hospitality, vacation rentals, property management, or operational SaaS
- Experience with data-heavy interfaces (dashboards, pricing tools, calendars, financial products)
- Mobile-first design and native app/mobile web pattern expertise
