Superhuman (formerly Grammarly) is seeking a Senior Product Counsel to serve as the primary legal advisor for a high-growth business unit within the AI productivity platform. In this role, you will act as a "mini-GC," providing legal guidance across the product lifecycle—from ideation through launch and beyond—for teams building Superhuman's next generation of AI agents and products.
Key responsibilities include triaging and resolving legal issues within your expertise, escalating complex matters appropriately, and advising Product, Design, Marketing, and Engineering teams on regulatory, privacy, and AI-related legal risks. You will develop strategies for handling legal challenges creatively, build scalable compliance processes, and monitor evolving AI and SaaS regulations to guide internal stakeholders. Additional duties include managing aspects of the intellectual property portfolio, delivering training on relevant legal topics, and streamlining legal reviews across the organization.
You will work autonomously with minimal guidance, demonstrating strong cross-functional communication and stakeholder management. The role requires deep expertise in AI governance, data privacy, and intellectual property law, with a demonstrated ability to foster a culture of creative problem-solving and "yes, if" thinking.
The position offers a hybrid model with flexibility to work remotely, though you may be expected to travel for scheduled team collaboration weeks.
