ShopMy is a unicorn marketplace ($1.5B valuation, backed by Bessemer Venture Partners, Avenir Growth Capital, and Bain Capital Ventures) transforming e-commerce through human-led curation at scale. The company enables creators to discover brands, build storefronts, earn commissions, and grow audiences while helping brands run performance-driven creator programs.
You will join as the second Product Builder on the team, reporting to the VP of Product, and own the creator-facing product experience end-to-end. Your mandate spans onboarding, storefronts, affiliate tools, earnings dashboards, discovery surfaces, and daily creator workflows. This is a full-cycle product role: you take unclear signals from creator feedback, data, internal teams, and market research, synthesize them into concrete product ideas, and shepherd those ideas through to live production where they change real behavior.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning major product surfaces and features that directly impact creator engagement, earnings, and retention
- Diagnosing real problems from organizational noise (support tickets, usage data, feature requests, market signals)
- Creating complete product proposals with clear flows, rough wireframes, and architecture thinking that enable Engineering and Design to move fast
- Shipping features into production and staying close through launch—you own how the feature actually behaves, where it breaks, and how it performs
- Partnering deeply with Engineering, Design, UXR, and Data to move from signal to shipped product at high velocity
- Defining and owning metrics that reflect creator value: engagement, earnings, retention, satisfaction
- Conducting creator research through office hours, data analysis, and user interviews to build deep empathy
- Balancing major roadmap bets against continuous iterative improvements that compound into a world-class product
You are a full-stack builder who thinks in complete systems—you can design flows, reason through architecture, and understand data movement. You arrive with something real (wireframes, concrete proposals with sharp scope and tradeoffs) so teams can react and ship faster. You are creative, comfortable in ambiguity, and know when to open possibilities versus collapse them into shipped work. You are a sleuth who reads between the lines, applies trained judgment, and uncovers the real problem worth solving rather than taking surface-level requests at face value.
Success is measured by what ships to production and changes behavior. Ideas, documents, designs, and prototypes are inputs; the work itself is live product that makes the company better.
