You'll own analytics for Wishlists and Celebrations within Babylist's Core Registry product organization—occasion-based surfaces (birthdays, holidays, showers) and hosting tools that extend the Babylist relationship beyond the newborn phase. This is a senior individual contributor role where you'll define measurement frameworks and instrumentation from the ground up across a multi-sided user base: registrants, hosts, gift givers, and partners.
Key responsibilities include: owning end-to-end analytics for occasion-based gifting and event pages; building and evolving KPI trees and measurement frameworks with product and engineering partners; auditing and improving existing tracking to ensure reliable clickstream data; designing and analyzing experiments that drive list creation, guest participation, and repeat engagement; untangling the multi-sided user model to make it legible to product teams; quantifying how these surfaces extend customer lifetime value and retention; building dashboards and AI-assisted reporting artifacts; and influencing product strategy as a trusted senior IC through data-driven insights.
You'll report directly to the Senior Manager of Product Analytics and work within the Data organization. The role emphasizes end-to-end ownership without handoffs, the opportunity to define measurement for surfaces still being instrumented, and the chance to help establish AI-assisted analytics as a core practice across the Data org.
Required qualifications: 6+ years of product analytics experience; mastery-level SQL applied to large-scale datasets (millions to billions of rows); expert-level knowledge of event instrumentation and clickstream data; domain expertise in experimentation, statistical testing, and A/B analysis; ability to connect user behavior to business outcomes and LTV; demonstrated use of AI tools (Claude, Cursor, Devin) in analytical workflows; comfort with both product analytics and program/P&L-adjacent analysis; experience with modern tools (LaunchDarkly, Amplitude, dbt, Hex, Sigma); principled prioritization across multiple surfaces and stakeholders; and self-directed problem-solving in ambiguous spaces.
