Salary: USD 210,000 - 265,000 / annual
Harvey is an AI platform transforming legal and professional services through frontier agentic AI, enterprise-grade infrastructure, and deep domain expertise. The company, founded in 2022 and backed by world-class investors, is scaling rapidly and defining a new category in the legal tech space.
You will join Harvey's in-house legal team as a Senior Privacy and AI Counsel, reporting to the Head of Privacy. This is a key role maintaining and promoting a culture of privacy and security across the organization as the company expands globally.
Key responsibilities include:
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating Data Processing Agreements with customers, subprocessors, service providers, and third parties
- Developing, maintaining, and scaling global privacy programs, including Data Protection Impact Assessments and Records of Processing
- Cross-functional collaboration with product and engineering teams to evaluate privacy and data protection law impacts on product developments
- Monitoring and responding to evolving privacy laws and regulations, particularly AI-specific regulations
- Supporting implementation and compliance with AI regulations including CCPA governance frameworks
- Classifying AI systems, assessing risk obligations, and developing internal AI governance controls and documentation
- Partnering with legal, product, and compliance stakeholders on AI principles including transparency, accountability, and human oversight
You bring 8+ years of post-qualification legal experience in privacy and data protection. You have proven expertise in U.S. and E.U. data protection law with familiarity across global compliance frameworks. You excel at drafting and negotiating complex agreements, collaborate effectively across legal and business teams, and balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You are highly responsive, detail-oriented, and confident representing the company on privacy, AI, and security matters.
