Salary: USD 109,760 - 152,400 / annual
Twilio is seeking a Senior Presales Engineer to join the Digital Sales Communications team. In this role, you will be a trusted technical advisor to enterprise customers, translating complex communications infrastructure needs into tailored solutions. You will engage with C-level executives, technical architects, and implementation teams to demonstrate how Twilio's platform solves real business problems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting technical discovery calls and solution architecture sessions with prospective customers
- Delivering compelling product demonstrations and proof-of-concept designs
- Building deep understanding of customer communications challenges (voice, SMS, email, video, authentication)
- Collaborating with sales teams to advance opportunities through the sales cycle
- Presenting to audiences at varying technical levels, from business stakeholders to engineering teams
- Staying current with cloud communications trends, competitive landscape, and Twilio product capabilities
- Traveling approximately 10% to support customer meetings and team engagement
You will work in a remote-first environment but may be asked to attend occasional in-person team gatherings or customer meetings. This role is not eligible for hire in CA, CT, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, OR, PA, RI, TX, VA, WA, or Washington DC.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of presales experience selling complex, technical products, OR 6+ years of professional experience supporting technical products with customer-facing delivery or consulting background
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to gain audience confidence
- Strong storytelling ability; capacity to explain complex technical topics to multiple audience levels
- Ability to conduct technical discovery and guide customers toward appropriate solutions
- Previous software development experience or working knowledge in relevant technical areas
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in a technical discipline (Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science) or equivalent practical experience
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) and cloud application architecture
- Previous experience in Telecom, SIP, Contact Center, or Security
- Knowledge of sales methodologies
