Anthropic is seeking a Senior Payroll Manager to join its Finance team in Singapore, supporting payroll operations across the Asia-Pacific region. This role manages full-cycle international payroll processing for multiple countries including India, Japan, South Korea, Australia, Singapore, and others as the company expands. The position reports to the Head of International Accounting with a dotted line to the Head of Global Payroll. Key responsibilities include executing payroll processing across APAC entities, supporting expansion into new markets, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations and employment laws, managing relationships with third-party payroll providers, and resolving international tax notices. The role collaborates closely with People, Tax, Global Mobility, and Finance teams to implement process improvements and resolve payroll discrepancies. You will partner with the equity team to process stock options, assist in preparing international payroll reports and analytics, and support payroll systems integration and automation initiatives. The role uses Workday HRIS and the PwC Global Payroll Platform. Ideal candidates have 10+ years of payroll operations experience with at least 5 years in international payroll. Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; proficiency in processing various compensation types (regular, off-cycle, severance, taxable benefits, equity); strong knowledge of international payroll regulations; experience with payroll journal entries and month-end close procedures; and proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets. Preferred experience includes Workday and PwC GPP platform familiarity, supporting rapid international expansion, knowledge of European employment law, and payroll systems implementation experience.
