Homebound is transforming residential construction by enabling homeowners to design, personalize, and purchase homes entirely online. The company has raised $150M from top-tier VCs including Google and Khosla, and is scaling rapidly across Texas, Colorado, Florida, and California.
The Senior Paralegal will be a core member of Homebound's in-house legal team, supporting the full lifecycle of legal operations across the company's infill and suburban homebuilding markets. This is a high-impact, versatile role requiring someone comfortable managing diverse legal matters simultaneously while partnering closely with sales, operations, finance, construction, and product teams.
Key responsibilities include: managing master service agreements, purchase and sale agreements, and NDAs with subcontractors; tracking and maintaining general contractor and business licensing across all markets; overseeing the Builders Risk insurance program and vetting subcontractor policies; managing warranty claims and disputes; supporting homeowner sales negotiations and dispute resolution; coordinating pre-litigation and litigation matters with outside counsel; supporting land acquisition deals and market expansion initiatives; and serving as a responsive day-to-day legal resource for cross-functional teams.
The ideal candidate brings 10–15 years of paralegal experience, ideally in real estate, construction, or homebuilding, with in-house experience preferred. Required skills include contract drafting and negotiation, insurance and risk management, warranty claims handling, and litigation support. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently while managing high-volume concurrent matters across multiple states are essential. A Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate is required. The role demands someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys wearing multiple hats, and can exercise sound judgment when advising non-legal stakeholders.
