Coursera (now merged with Udemy) is seeking a Senior Offers and Promotions Strategy Manager to own offer strategy and economics across the combined consumer businesses. This newly created role sits within the Monetization team, reporting to the Director of Commercial Policy and Retention.
You will define how, when, and why the company discounts across both platforms—building the frameworks, guardrails, and exception processes that enable confident, consistent promotions at scale. The role bridges commercial strategy, data analytics, and cross-functional execution.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing rigorous, numbers-backed promotional strategies by building uplift models, forecasts, and LTV:CAC frameworks
- Designing discount frameworks and commercial policy guardrails that scale while remaining flexible for exceptions
- Partnering with Pricing, Data Science, Finance, and Marketing to translate promotion ideas into defensible business cases
- Driving cross-functional influence across Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Regional teams to move offers from concept to execution
- Designing and executing testing programs to isolate incremental lift from cannibalization
- Setting the testing and measurement agenda rather than just executing against it
You should excel at turning ambiguous promotional questions into analytical answers, building systems rather than one-off decisions, and knowing when to hold firm on policy versus when to allow exceptions. The role requires fluency in commercial strategy, strong analytical rigor, and the ability to influence without direct authority across multiple functions.
Coursera + Udemy operates as a globally distributed team with intentional collaboration. This role is hybrid, with primary alignment to Denver or Austin offices, though remote work is supported.
