commercetools is seeking a Senior Named Account Executive to join its Sales team in Munich (hybrid, 3 days/week in office). This is a quota-carrying role focused on developing and closing new business within a small set of high-value, named enterprise accounts, combined with strategic expansion opportunities. Key responsibilities include owning the full sales cycle from prospecting through close, developing data-driven business cases, and articulating ROI through consultative selling. You will develop and execute strategic account plans for assigned named accounts, focusing on long-term growth and multi-solution adoption. The role emphasizes building multi-threaded relationships across C-suite and executive business lines to influence enterprise buying committees, and leading Executive Business Reviews to showcase realized value and growth opportunities. You will create and maintain detailed organizational/power maps to identify influencers and potential blockers, orchestrate cross-functional pursuit teams (Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, Product, Partners, Legal), and ensure high customer satisfaction through adoption tracking and proactive renewal/expansion intervention. The position also involves maintaining accurate pipeline forecasting through disciplined CRM management and partnering with cloud hyperscalers (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and global SI partners on large-scale digital modernization deals. Required qualifications include minimum 7 years of enterprise SaaS sales experience, proven success managing and growing named enterprise accounts (Fortune 1000), demonstrated ability to close multi-six-figure and seven-figure ACV deals, and deep commercial knowledge of the e-commerce landscape including competitors and complementary technologies (CMS, PIM, ERP). You should have exceptional skills in territory/account planning, opportunity qualification, and rigorous forecasting, with fluency in recognized sales methodologies (MEDDPICC strongly preferred). Consultative, business-value-focused conversation skills with C-level leaders are essential, as is genuine curiosity about leveraging AI tools to work more effectively.
