As Senior Motor Fleet Underwriter, you'll manage a large business portfolio while leveraging cutting-edge AI and analytics to assess risk, optimize underwriting processes, and create tailored policies for fleet clients. You'll have autonomy to mentor junior team members, contribute significantly to team targets, and help unlock growth into new market segments and emerging mobility trends.
Key responsibilities include: managing and developing a substantial client portfolio; mentoring and training junior underwriters and operations team members; collaborating with the Head of Underwriting to monitor and analyze portfolio performance; providing feedback to continuously improve risk information gathering processes; identifying opportunities to enhance policy wording and coverage; staying current with rapidly evolving motor fleet market trends and products; and actively using AI tools in the underwriting process (extracting risk data, triaging cases, speeding up quoting) while maintaining your own judgment on final decisions.
You'll work closely with insurance brokers, support large corporate customers, and collaborate with product teams to drive product and process enhancements. The role offers the opportunity to help position Flock as one of the UK's largest fleet MGAs while working at the forefront of innovation in fleet insurance.
Working hybrid from Central London (minimum 3 days/week in office, near Moorgate/Liverpool Street), with flexibility for client and broker site visits to substitute for office days.
