Doctolib, Europe's leading health companion, is seeking a Senior Medical Content Writer to join the Patient Content Factory Team in Berlin. This role is central to Doctolib's mission to become Europe's most trusted health content destination.
You will be responsible for writing, managing, and overseeing health content within the Doctolib app, ensuring the highest quality standards across all touchpoints. Your work will translate complex medical information into clear, actionable articles for German-speaking patients while coordinating cross-functional stakeholders and managing the entire content production workflow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain editorial calendars for German health content, identifying content opportunities based on patient needs and public health priorities
- Write and create understandable medical content for patients, translating complex medical information into clear, action-oriented articles
- Manage the complete content workflow from ideation to publication, coordinating internal and external content writers for timely delivery
- Manage content and editorial calendars via CMS, driving process optimization through automation and AI
- Ensure all content meets the highest standards for accuracy, clarity, and healthcare compliance; coordinate rigorous review processes with medical reviewers and experts
- Build a network of credible partners (institutions, experts, medical societies) to strengthen the authority of Doctolib's health content
Requirements:
- Degree in Communications, Journalism, or Life Sciences (Biomedics, Public Health, or similar)
- Minimum 4 years of demonstrated experience in medical content writing, health communication, or related fields
- Experience managing digital campaigns and working with CMS systems
- Strong project management background with ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders
- Outstanding written communication skills in German and very good English proficiency
Additional Strengths (Nice-to-Have):
- Curiosity and interest in multiformat storytelling (video, interactive content) — practical experience is a plus but not required
- Strong analytical skills and experience with performance measurement tools
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to navigate a dynamic, cross-functional environment
