Salary: USD 165,000 - 175,000 / annual

You will lead the revenue accounting function as a subject matter expert in ASC 606 revenue recognition and order-to-cash operations. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, you will manage the revenue accounting team through monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles while ensuring accurate and timely reporting of revenue, deferred revenue, and unbilled receivables.
Key responsibilities include:
- Serving as the ASC 606 expert, providing guidance on non-standard contracts and complex deal structures
- Leading revenue close processes and preparing technical accounting memos for external auditors
- Overseeing day-to-day revenue operations including billing, collections, and internal controls
- Partnering with Business Platform, Engineering, Sales, Legal, Deal Desk, Finance, and FP&A to improve billing systems and scale order-to-cash operations
- Managing, mentoring, and developing the revenue accounting team with clear expectations for performance and growth
- Leveraging AI tools to accelerate contract analysis, technical memo drafting, close processes, and workflow automation while maintaining sound accounting judgment
You are a revenue accounting leader who combines sharp technical judgment with operational discipline and genuine commitment to developing people. You make complex accounting questions clear, help teams move with confidence, and care deeply about whether the revenue engine works in practice. You improve systems and processes without waiting for every detail to be solved first.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of combined experience in public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and revenue accounting roles at public, high-growth, and/or pre-IPO SaaS companies
- Direct experience managing or leading accounting professionals and building team culture grounded in accountability, development, and trust
- Deep knowledge of ASC 606, order-to-cash accounting, revenue operations, and control environments supporting billing and revenue generation
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite and revenue engines or billing tools such as ARM, Stripe, or Zuora
- Experience partnering with IT or Business Platforms teams on billing platform upgrades, system conversions, automated integrations, and process improvements
- Ability to write clear technical accounting memos and communicate complex issues to cross-functional partners
- Strong analytical judgment, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities
- Thoughtful use of AI across accounting workflows for analysis, technical memo drafting, audit support, and repeatable process improvement, with ability to validate outputs and exercise good judgment
