ID.me is seeking a Senior Manager of Revenue Accounting and Billing Operations to own the end-to-end revenue and billing function as the company scales toward IPO readiness. Reporting to the Senior Director of Accounting & Financial Operations, you will manage the full order-to-cash cycle—from deal structuring and booking in Salesforce through usage capture, invoicing, revenue recognition, deferred revenue, AR, and monthly close.
This is a builder role focused on designing and automating billing and revenue infrastructure across multiple verticals. You will lead the automation roadmap, eliminating spreadsheet-based and manual invoicing in favor of systematic, auditable, scalable processes. Key responsibilities include owning revenue recognition for usage-based and consumption-based billing models (variable consideration, minimums and overages, tiered pricing, true-ups, breakage); authoring ASC 606 memos; managing the monthly and quarterly revenue close; ensuring billing accuracy and timeliness; and supporting external audits and SOX/IPO readiness.
You will partner closely with Revenue Operations, Salesforce administrators, and Data teams to enforce data hygiene at the source, build consistent customer and product dimensions, and own billing data integrity. You will also optimize the existing finance tool stack (NetSuite, NetSuite ARM, Salesforce, Snowflake, Sigma) and apply AI tools (Claude) to revenue and billing workflows.
You will lead a team of three, setting priorities, raising the technical bar, and building a function that scales with transaction volume and deal complexity. The role requires someone who is proactive, comfortable with detailed technical work (usage files, Salesforce field definitions), and equally comfortable presenting recognition positions and automation roadmaps to leadership.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 8+ years of progressive revenue accounting experience, including at least 2 years directly managing accounting staff
- Deep expertise in ASC 606 and SaaS revenue recognition, with direct, hands-on experience recognizing revenue in a usage-based or consumption-based billing model (variable consideration, minimums and overages, tiered pricing, true-ups)
- Demonstrated ownership of an end-to-end billing or order-to-cash process, not just accounting entries
- Track record of delivering accounting automation—specific processes identified, designed, and shipped with measurable reduction in manual effort or close time
- Experience working directly with Revenue Operations, Salesforce administrators, or Data/Engineering teams on data quality, system configuration, or data pipelines
- Advanced proficiency with financial systems (NetSuite, NetSuite ARM, Salesforce) and advanced Excel skills, including comfort with large data sets
- Demonstrated proficiency with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) to drive accounting process improvement
- Proactive operator who brings problems forward with proposed solutions and is willing to get into detail to prove it works
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to translate technical accounting and systems issues for non-accounting stakeholders and leadership

- Big 4 or comparable public accounting experience
- Experience in high-growth, pre-IPO or newly public SaaS or technology company
- Experience implementing or materially re-architecting a billing system or revenue sub-ledger
- Working knowledge of SQL or experience building reporting data models and partnering on data warehouse/BI implementation (BigQuery, Snowflake, Looker, Tableau)
- Exposure to SOX readiness, audit remediation, or public-company control environments
- Familiarity with Workiva or similar SOX/controls documentation tooling
