Salary: USD 230,000 - 300,000 / annual
Anthropic is seeking a Senior Manager for Regulatory Accounting & Disclosures to lead the Non-Financial Reporting team. This role owns mandatory disclosures and builds cross-functional mechanisms to understand reporting implications of compute infrastructure expansion.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain internal tracking systems for leases, capex, and company footprint changes to align financial and non-financial reporting
- Prepare mandatory disclosure filings (EU CSRD, AU ASRS, and successor regimes) and develop risk assessment methodologies for regulatory compliance
- Own corporate reporting on non-financial metrics including carbon, energy, water, and other relevant environmental and operational metrics
- Ensure non-financial reporting meets assurance standards by designing controls, documentation, and tech systems equivalent to financial reporting standards; manage external assurance processes
- Develop disclosure strategy and governance in partnership with legal, communications, and policy teams; assess reporting landscape and set voluntary disclosure posture (CDP, EcoVadis, customer-facing statements)
- Create scalable processes for responding to customer requests, maintain answer libraries, meet SLAs with Sales, and own customer-level reporting methodology
This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco with an expectation of at least 25% in-office time, though some roles may require more.
Requirements:
- Deep working knowledge of mandatory reporting standards and experience building data management plans, documenting methodology choices, and defending them to auditors or assurance providers
- Cloud or data-center impact accounting experience (electricity, energy data, supplier-specific data)
- Proficiency in maintaining non-financial accounting platforms and managing multi-stakeholder data collection
- Familiarity with financial accounting standards and ability to partner with financial accounting teams
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a field relevant to the role
Preferred qualifications:
- 10+ years in reporting experience with end-to-end ownership of regulatory reporting deliverables (mandatory corporate disclosures, voluntary frameworks, or customer-facing reporting such as CDP, EcoVadis, procurement checklists)
- CPA and sustainability reporting credential (FSA Credential, GRI Professional, or similar)
- Master's degree in accounting, finance, environmental science, engineering, sustainability, or related quantitative field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Assurance experience
- ISO 14001 experience and public-sector procurement exposure
- Experience building repeatable reporting processes from scratch and coordinating across Sales, Legal, Communications, and Finance with strong written communication skills
