Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is seeking a Senior Manager/Director of Quality Engineering to lead the Test Infrastructure and Quality Engineering organization. You will oversee a multidisciplinary team of engineering managers, software engineers, and quality engineers responsible for preventing, detecting, and resolving regressions across Samsara's Connected Operations Cloud platform.
In this role, you will lead strategy and execution across test infrastructure, automation frameworks, and product-quality validation. Your teams will build and operate shared test platforms, frameworks, environments, data systems, and developer workflows that enable high-quality testing across the engineering organization. You'll establish Samsara's quality strategy, define measurable standards for regression prevention and release confidence, and partner with engineering and product leadership to embed quality earlier in the development lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include: leading and developing an organization of managers and engineers; defining the vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for quality engineering and shared testing platforms; building scalable, self-service test infrastructure including frameworks, environments, test data, device and service simulators, and CI/CD integrations; establishing measurable quality outcomes including escaped-regression rates, automated coverage, test reliability, time to signal, and release confidence metrics; and ensuring testing capabilities scale with the organization's growth.
