Tines, founded in 2018 with co-headquarters in Dublin and Boston, is seeking a Senior Manager of Product Security to lead and scale the product security program within an AI-forward engineering environment. Reporting to the Head of IT Operations & Information Security, you will be responsible for setting the strategic direction of product security, building and developing a high-performing team, and partnering closely with engineering, product, infrastructure, legal, compliance, and executive stakeholders.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring fluidity between strategy, people management, and technical execution. You will establish security priorities based on risk assessment, create scalable security processes and guardrails, and enable teams to make sound security decisions without introducing unnecessary friction.
Key responsibilities include defining and executing the product security strategy, roadmap, and operating model aligned with company objectives and product risk. You will hire, manage, mentor, and develop product security engineers while fostering a culture of technical excellence and accountability. You'll establish scalable security practices throughout the software development lifecycle, including security requirements, architecture reviews, threat modeling, testing, and remediation.
A core focus is leveraging AI and automation as force multipliers to build a product security program that matches the velocity of AI-assisted development. You will partner with product and engineering teams to identify and mitigate risks in AI-powered features and systems, including prompt injection, data leakage, model abuse, and insecure tool use. You'll guide the design of secure architectures and platform controls for cloud-native, multi-tenant products.
Additional responsibilities include owning the product vulnerability management lifecycle, developing a consistent framework for identifying and prioritizing product security risks, building secure-by-default tooling and automated controls, serving as a product security leader during incidents, developing security champions and training programs, establishing meaningful measures of product security effectiveness, and supporting customer and partner security conversations.
