Salary: USD 130,000 - 160,000 / annual
Turo, the world's largest car sharing marketplace, is seeking a Senior Manager of Operations Project Management to lead the Project Management function across Turo Operations. You will report directly to the VP of Marketplace Support and be responsible for defining project management methodology, leading a team of Project Managers, and ensuring successful execution of critical, high-impact strategic initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Define and refine the overall Project Management Office (PMO) strategy and best practices across Turo Operations
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Project Managers, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability
- Own the strategic roadmap and prioritization of high-impact projects in partnership with executive leadership
- Establish standardized project governance, reporting, and communication frameworks across initiatives
- Ensure rigorous application of project methodologies, including DMAIC, to vet, plan, and execute projects
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with VP and Director-level stakeholders across Operations, Product, Marketing, and cross-functional teams
- Manage cross-functional dependencies and escalate critical risks and obstacles to senior leadership
- Oversee project management tools, including Asana, to ensure data integrity and provide executive-level visibility
- Drive accountability across project teams to ensure milestones, deliverables, and business objectives are achieved
This is a hybrid role requiring in-office presence three days per week (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays) in Phoenix.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of progressive experience in Project or Program Management, including 3+ years managing a team
- Proven expertise defining and implementing PMO standards, processes, and methodologies in fast-paced corporate environments
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing Project Management teams
- Strong experience managing complex, cross-functional initiatives involving multiple teams and senior stakeholders
- High proficiency with project management platforms such as Asana for executive reporting and resource management
- Exceptional executive-level written and verbal communication skills
- Expert ability to influence, build alignment, and gain consensus across senior leadership and VP-level stakeholders
- Strong strategic thinking with ability to translate business priorities into actionable project roadmaps
- Highest standards of accuracy and precision with exceptional organizational skills
- Must be based in Arizona
Bonus qualifications:
- BA/BS degree; MBA or other advanced degree
- PMP, PgMP, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, or equivalent professional certification
- Experience in the sharing economy or marketplace industry
- Startup experience with ability to thrive in fast-paced, constantly changing environments
