Rubrik is seeking a Senior Manager of International Payroll to lead payroll operations across multiple global jurisdictions. This strategic role bridges finance, HR, and legal compliance, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll execution for thousands of employees across EMEA and APAC regions.
You will manage payroll teams, oversee the complete payroll cycle, and report to the Sr Manager of Global Payroll. Key responsibilities include:
**Global Strategy & Process Improvement:** Manage relationships with global managed service providers, conduct periodic RFPs for cost optimization, and partner with IT to ensure seamless data integration between Workday HCM, E*TRADE, and external payroll vendors.
**Operational Excellence:** Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for diverse regions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Handle escalated queries, collaborate with HR on new hires, terminations, and leaves. Develop internal controls, ensure data integrity, and proactively identify and resolve issues. Drive continuous improvements in payroll systems, policies, and processes. Coordinate with Finance on international bank account funding and currency management. Lead internal and external audits to maintain audit-ready records. Mentor payroll team members on professional development and technical skills.
**Compliance & Risk Mitigation:** Ensure correct tax withholding and statutory reporting across jurisdictions. Manage complex expatriate and shadow payroll scenarios. Monitor legislative changes to prevent penalties and legal disputes.
Required: 12–15+ years in payroll with at least 5 years in multinational environments. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or HR (CPP preferred). Workday HCM expertise required. Strong project management, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Experience with payroll systems, HRIS platforms, and payroll service providers. Self-starter mentality with ability to drive initiatives independently.
