Rubrik, a Security and AI Operations Company, is seeking a Senior Manager of HCM Systems to lead the strategic direction and operational management of its human capital management technology stack. Reporting to the VP of Total Rewards and HCM, you will oversee Workday HCM, Greenhouse ATS, and related HR applications as the company scales rapidly.
This hybrid role (3 days in-office in Palo Alto) combines strategic planning, project leadership, and team management. You will spend approximately 60% of your time driving systems projects for annual HR programs including compensation planning (bonus, salary, promotion, equity reviews), benefits enrollment, and performance/talent management. This includes requirements gathering, system testing, business readiness, documentation, training, and communications. You will work closely with customer groups (Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, People Operations) to gather requirements and create project justifications.
Approximately 20% of your time will focus on HR systems strategy, planning, and management reporting. You will partner with IT leadership to drive progress on People technology roadmaps, own the HR technology business roadmap, and balance "keep the lights on" maintenance work with strategic initiatives. You will develop metrics, system usage statistics, and innovative analytics for quarterly presentations, and stay current on HR systems technology trends with a focus on AI and emerging technologies.
The remaining 20% involves team management. You will manage a team of 4 (2 FTE + 2 contractors), providing direction, career development guidance, and ensuring appropriate staffing and support. You will ensure cross-training on key systems, monitor team utilization, and participate in leadership meetings on goal setting, roadmap development, budgeting, and recognition practices.
This role offers the opportunity to combine strategic thinking with creativity and cross-functional partnership to drive business impact, particularly in incorporating AI into existing and future HR processes and tools.

- Ability to efficiently compile, categorize, analyze, and prioritize 100+ requests with SLAs and roadmap planning
