Allocate is seeking its first People Partner Manager to build the people and talent function from the ground up. This is a founding role ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, thinks systemically about organizational challenges, and can connect people initiatives to measurable business outcomes. - Translate metrics and team feedback into actionable insights to inform leadership on organizational health, employee engagement, and retention strategies
- Architect and implement the HR tech stack (HRIS, ATS, performance management, onboarding, compensation, benefits platforms)
- Evaluate and improve internal processes to automate workflows, enhance efficiency, ensure data integrity, and enable employee self-service at scale
- Build repeatable, scalable processes across the full employee lifecycle—from talent operations and candidate experience through onboarding, orientation, and performance
- Serve as a trusted advisor to managers on people issues, team effectiveness, and conflict resolution with sound judgment and empathy
- Support employees on benefits, leaves, and other people-related matters
Requirements:
- 8+ years of progressive HR/People experience, including 5+ years as a dedicated People Ops Lead in a fast-paced, high-growth startup and 3+ years as an HR Business Partner/People Partner
- Proven 0-to-1 track record: demonstrated success building people and talent/recruiting operations processes from scratch, designing and leading people programs throughout the employee lifecycle (especially onboarding, talent development, engagement) during periods of significant growth
- Deep familiarity with modern HR and recruiting platforms (Ashby, TriNet, Rippling, CultureAmp, Complete, Lattice, Vanta, etc.); experience leading HRIS RFP and implementation is a plus
- Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives in fast-paced, high-growth environments; success partnering with managers and stakeholders to diagnose needs and convert insights into company-wide programs
- Strong project management, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills with demonstrated operational and organizational problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to operate autonomously in ambiguous, high-paced environments with excellent judgment balancing empathy, risk, and business needs
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; ability to synthesize complex issues and adapt communication to all organizational levels
