OpenAI is seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Global Equity Administration to lead end-to-end equity program operations for a subsidiary. This role sits within the Equity Administration team, which provides the operational foundation for equity programs across the company, ensuring data reliability, system resilience, and scalable processes that meet global compliance requirements.
You will report to the Head of Equity Administration and work cross-functionally with Legal, Finance/Accounting, Payroll, Tax, Compensation, and People teams. Key responsibilities include executing employee equity administration across lifecycle events (new grants, vesting, RSU releases, option exercises), managing recurring operational cycles with timelines and stakeholder coordination, producing audit-ready reporting, and building automated dashboards and reconciliations to improve accuracy and reduce manual effort.
You will support equity system operations (Shareworks or comparable platforms), including troubleshooting, configuration, permissions, and workflow maintenance. You'll partner with Internal Controls to maintain process documentation and ensure consistent control adherence. The role also involves supporting special transactions and liquidity events such as tender offers.
Required qualifications include 10+ years of progressive equity administration experience in high-growth environments, strong expertise with equity administration platforms (Shareworks preferred), ability to operate with precision in time-sensitive processes, and comfort navigating equity data flows across HRIS, payroll, and accounting systems. You should have advanced Excel skills, strong analytical abilities, high ownership and prioritization, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams independently. Clear communication and the ability to handle confidential information with integrity are essential.
