Zocdoc is seeking a Senior Manager of FP&A to lead financial planning and analysis for the R&D and Operations functions. The role is central to guiding investment, headcount, and performance decisions across these critical business areas.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Lead FP&A business partnerships across R&D and Operations, supporting budgets, forecasts, hiring plans, and investment decisions
- Partner closely with functional leaders to understand business drivers, evaluate tradeoffs, and guide resource allocation
- Own the planning and forecasting rhythm for supported functions, including timelines, assumptions, stakeholder inputs, and deliverables
- Lead, coach, and develop team members, setting clear priorities and raising analytical quality and execution standards
- Monitor performance against forecasts and targets; proactively identify risks and opportunities
- Translate complex financial and operational questions into clear analyses and recommendations for Finance and non-Finance audiences
- Support strategic planning processes, helping partners evaluate investments and align decisions with company goals
- Improve planning processes, team workflows, and reporting approaches to increase efficiency and decision usefulness
- Lead ad-hoc analyses to support strategic initiatives, directing individual contributor work and ensuring quality
Required qualifications:
- 8+ years in financial analytical roles (strategic finance, FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, or accounting)
- 5+ years in FP&A or comparable finance role in fast-paced environment
- 2+ years managing people, including developing individual contributors and owning team outcomes
- Strong business partnership experience with senior functional leaders, ideally in R&D or Operations
- Advanced Excel proficiency and expertise in financial modeling and reporting
- Strategic mindset with strong problem-solving and consistent delivery
