Zocdoc is seeking a Senior Manager, FP&A to support the R&D and Operations teams. This role combines strategic financial analysis with people leadership, offering the opportunity to shape investment decisions and drive operational efficiency across key business functions.
You will lead FP&A business partnerships across R&D and Operations, owning budgets, forecasts, hiring plans, and investment decisions. Your responsibilities include partnering closely with functional leaders to understand business drivers, evaluate tradeoffs, and guide resource allocation. You'll own the planning and forecasting rhythm for supported functions, including timelines, assumptions, stakeholder inputs, and deliverables.
As a people leader, you will coach and develop team members, set clear priorities, and raise the bar on analytical quality and execution. You'll monitor performance against forecasts and targets, proactively identify risks and opportunities, and recommend actions to improve outcomes. You'll translate complex financial and operational questions into clear analyses and insights for both Finance and non-Finance audiences.
Your day-to-day includes supporting strategic planning processes, helping partners evaluate investments and prioritize initiatives, and improving planning processes and reporting approaches. You'll lead ad-hoc analyses to support strategic initiatives and leadership priorities, directing individual contributor work and ensuring quality and rigor.

Required qualifications: 8+ years in financial analytical roles (strategic finance, FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, or accounting); 5+ years in FP&A or comparable finance role in fast-paced environment; 3+ years managing people with responsibility for developing individual contributors and owning team outcomes. You should have strong business partnership experience with senior functional leaders (ideally R&D or Operations), expertise in financial modeling and reporting with advanced Excel, strategic mindset with strong problem-solving, and excellent communication and presentation skills. Experience with FP&A systems like Planful is a plus, as is relevant industry exposure in technology, healthcare, or consumer marketplaces.
