Polymarket, the world's largest prediction market platform, is seeking a Senior Manager of Know Your Customer (KYC) to own the compliance program end-to-end. This is a hands-on leadership role within the Legal and Compliance function, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Customer Identification Program (CIP), Customer Due Diligence (CDD), and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) processes. You will manage a team of KYC analysts and ensure the program meets CFTC, BSA, and OFAC requirements while scaling with business growth without creating unnecessary friction for customers.
Key responsibilities include: owning and maintaining all KYC policies, procedures, and documentation in line with regulatory requirements; designing and refining customer risk rating methodology with clear escalation criteria; reviewing and adjudicating escalated EDD cases and establishing quality assurance processes; managing, hiring, training, and coaching a team of KYC analysts; partnering with Product and Operations to embed KYC requirements into onboarding workflows; tracking program metrics and presenting findings to senior leadership and the Risk Committee; and managing relationships with third-party vendors and technology providers, including evaluating AI and automation tools.
The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of progressive BSA/AML experience with direct ownership of a KYC program at a FinTech, derivatives firm, or broker-dealer; 5+ years managing and developing AML/KYC analyst teams; hands-on experience designing or rebuilding CIP/CDD/EDD frameworks; strong knowledge of BSA requirements and CFTC/NFA regulatory expectations; demonstrated ability to embed KYC into product workflows; experience supporting regulatory exams with minimal findings; and strong communication skills for presenting to senior leadership. Preferred qualifications include CAMS certification, Chainalysis credentials, prior CFTC/NFA registration experience, AI/automation vendor evaluation experience, and familiarity with data visualization tools like Looker, R, or Stata.
