Affirm is seeking a Senior Manager of Financial Systems to lead the design, implementation, and operation of enterprise financial platforms at scale. This role owns the data, technology, and reporting capabilities supporting Affirm's Accounting function, including key applications like NetSuite, Zip, Navan, Workato, and BlackLine. You will lead a multi-year modernization initiative to support global growth and reimagine how Accounting operates through scalable technology, trusted data, automation, and AI.
Key responsibilities include leading end-to-end development activities across the financial systems landscape—from solution architecture and technical design through deployment and production support. You will define enterprise architecture and technical roadmaps for global ERP and EPM platforms, supporting cloud transformation across Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, SAP S/4HANA, NetSuite, or equivalent systems. You'll architect, build, and deploy scalable integrations that ingest, transform, validate, reconcile, and distribute complex, high-volume financial and operational data sets across ERP, EPM, data warehouse, HCM, loan ledger, sales, and reporting platforms.
You will partner with VPs and Senior Directors to align priorities, resolve competing demands, and establish a clear roadmap for Financial Systems. Collaboration across product development with Product Management, Engineering, and Accounting ensures technical sustainability and risk management. You'll act as a force multiplier by defining and advocating for effective technical solutions and operational processes, and own your team's operations and system availability through monitoring, triage rotations, playbooks, and on-call efforts.
Talent development is central to this role—you'll provide meaningful feedback, create growth opportunities, and establish strong code review and design standards. You'll foster a culture of quality and ownership through clear written communication and technical discussions.
Required experience includes 10+ years leading the design, implementation, and operation of enterprise ERP, financial reporting, and planning platforms (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Workday, Hyperion, Anaplan, or similar). You must have hands-on experience developing integrations between ERP and EPM platforms using technologies such as REST/SOAP APIs, NetSuite SuiteTalk and SuiteScript, Oracle Integration Cloud, SAP Integration Suite/CPI, MuleSoft, Boomi, Informatica, Fivetran, dbt, Snowflake, SQL, Python, JSON/XML, and SFTP. A strong understanding of Accounting and Finance processes—Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, financial close, consolidation, management reporting, and financial planning—is essential. You should be able to lead technical design of data models, transformation logic, business rules, calculation engines, reconciliation controls, and data-quality monitoring. Experience with governance, security, auditability, and internal control requirements in regulated, publicly traded environments is required. Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and retain high-performing teams while establishing accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement is critical.
