Affirm is seeking a Senior Manager of Financial Systems to lead the design, implementation, and operation of enterprise financial platforms at scale. You will own the data, technology, and reporting capabilities supporting Affirm's Accounting function, including NetSuite, Zip, Navan, Workato, and BlackLine. This role is central to a multi-year modernization initiative aimed at supporting global growth through scalable technology, trusted data, automation, and AI. Key responsibilities include leading end-to-end development across the financial systems landscape—from solution architecture and technical design through deployment and production support. You will define enterprise architecture and technical roadmaps for global ERP and EPM platforms, supporting cloud transformation across Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, SAP S/4HANA, NetSuite, or equivalent solutions. You'll architect, build, and deploy scalable integrations that ingest, transform, validate, reconcile, and distribute complex, high-volume financial and operational data sets across ERP, EPM, data warehouse, HCM, loan ledger, sales, and reporting platforms. You will partner with VPs and Senior Directors to align priorities, resolve competing demands, and establish a clear roadmap for Financial Systems. Collaboration across product development, Product Management, Engineering, and Accounting is essential to ensure technical sustainability and manage risks and dependencies. You'll act as a force multiplier by defining and advocating for effective technical solutions and operational processes. Operational ownership is critical: you will ensure appropriate monitoring, triage rotations, playbooks, policies, testing, and alerting are in place to support business continuity and on-call efforts. You'll foster a culture of quality and ownership by establishing strong code review and design standards, advocating for them across teams through clear communication and technical discussions. Talent development is a key expectation—you will provide meaningful feedback, create growth opportunities, and lead by example. Required qualifications include 10+ years leading the design, implementation, and operation of enterprise ERP, financial reporting, and planning platforms at scale (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Workday, Hyperion, Anaplan, or similar). You must have hands-on experience developing integrations between ERP and EPM platforms using technologies such as REST/SOAP APIs, NetSuite SuiteTalk and SuiteScript, Oracle Integration Cloud, SAP Integration Suite/CPI, MuleSoft, Boomi, Informatica, Fivetran, dbt, Snowflake, SQL, Python, JSON/XML, SFTP, and event-based patterns. A strong understanding of Accounting and Finance processes is essential: Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Record-to-Report (R2R), Order-to-Cash (O2C), financial close, consolidation, management reporting, and financial planning. You will lead technical design of data models, transformation logic, business rules, calculation engines, reconciliation controls, exception handling, audit trails, and data-quality monitoring. You must establish reusable integration frameworks and engineering standards covering API management, authentication/authorization, OAuth 2.0, encryption, scheduling, monitoring, logging, error handling, retries, and disaster recovery. Understanding governance, security, auditability, data integrity, and internal control requirements in regulated, publicly traded environments is critical. You will implement automated deployment and release-management processes using Git, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or comparable CI/CD tools. Finally, you must demonstrate a proven ability to build, develop, and retain high-performing teams while establishing a culture of accountability, collaboration, quality, and continuous improvement.
