Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is the pioneer of the Connected Operations Cloud, a platform enabling organizations in physical operations—agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing—to harness IoT data for actionable insights and operational improvements.
As Senior Manager of Data Platform, you will build and lead teams responsible for maintaining Samsara's data lake and surrounding infrastructure. Your scope includes owning the analytic platform across the company, meeting evolving business needs as the organization scales geographically, addressing privacy and security requirements, and developing customer-facing features.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead a team of data-focused engineers to build and maintain a stable, scalable, modern data platform capable of handling petabytes of data
- Drive long-term planning and establish scalable execution processes
- Actively contribute to the data roadmap, including thought leadership on AI transformation
- Stay connected to novel technological developments aligned with Samsara's needs
- Expand the platform to support company growth and geographic expansion
- Collaborate with product, customer success, and engineering teams
