Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, seeks an experienced Senior Manager of Compliance to lead the Test & Evaluation (T&E) Compliance function. This role manages FAA and FCC regulatory compliance across Anduril's portfolio of autonomous systems, unmanned aircraft, and defense platforms. You will directly manage FAA and FCC Compliance Program Managers, own team headcount and development, and serve as the single accountable leader for the T&E organization's regulatory posture. Key responsibilities include: leading the T&E Compliance team with full P&L and people-management accountability; developing and executing FAA and FCC compliance strategy aligned with program milestones; serving as executive liaison to the FAA, FCC, NTIA, DoD, and other regulatory bodies on escalations and novel-technology engagements; overseeing FAA workstreams (COAs, 44807 exemptions, Part 21/91/107/135 operations, type certification, airworthiness, BVLOS strategy, DoD airworthiness interfaces); overseeing FCC workstreams (Special Temporary Authority, experimental licenses, spectrum coordination, RF equipment certification, EMI/EMC compliance); partnering with Safety and Standards teams to embed regulatory requirements into T&E policies and procedures; building metrics, dashboards, and operating reviews for leadership visibility into regulatory posture; developing compliance risk management strategy including audit cadence and corrective-action tracking; interpreting regulatory changes and translating them into actionable guidance; building compliance training curriculum for engineers, program managers, and flight operations personnel; representing T&E Compliance in cross-functional forums including safety review boards and test readiness reviews; and traveling to test sites and regulatory engagements as required. Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Aerospace Engineering, Telecommunications, Regulatory Affairs, or related field; 7+ years progressive experience in aviation and/or spectrum regulatory compliance with demonstrated depth in FAA or FCC; 3+ years direct people-management experience managing program managers or subject-matter experts; working knowledge of FAA regulatory framework (COAs, 44807 exemptions, Part 21/91/107/135, airworthiness, UAS and autonomous systems); working knowledge of FCC and NTIA spectrum frameworks (STAs, experimental licenses, spectrum coordination, RF equipment certification); proven track record engaging directly with FAA, FCC, NTIA, DoD, or comparable regulatory bodies; experience in defense-related programs with government agency interactions; strong project and program management skills running cross-functional compliance initiatives; and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
